"Take me to your heart. For it's there that I belong." - Elvis Presley

Hunter and I took a weekend trip to Nashville, Tennessee this past weekend. This was my first time to go to Nashville. Needless to say, I was very excited.
We were originally going to start our vacation on Friday morning by heading straight to Nashville. However, we changed our plans the week before we left. We decided to leave Thursday afternoon and drive to Fayetteville, Tennessee. We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Fayetteville. It was a very nice hotel with a very nice breakfast. On Friday morning, we woke up and drove to Lynchburg, Tennessee. When we decided the week before to leave early, we pre-bought tickets to tour the Jack Daniel's Distillery. I would definitely recommend this tour. This was probably one of our favorite parts of the weekend.
After touring the distillery, we drove maybe and hour and half to Nashville. We checked in to our hotel at the Radisson Airport. The hotel was nice, but we actually liked the Best Western better. I will explain more about the hotels later. Once we checked in, we headed downtown to tour the Country Music Hall of Fame. There was definitely a lot to see in the Hall of Fame.
For the rest of the afternoon, we just walked around Broadway and the surrounding streets. For supper that night, we decided to eat at Dick's Last Resort. One reason we decided to eat there was because we had a coupon. The food and drinks were good, but I don't know if that is somewhere we would go to again.
Saturday morning, we woke up and took the RCA Studio B tour. This was one of my favorite parts of the trip. If you're a fan of Elvis, you would love it! After the tour, we grabbed lunch at Barlines, which is beside the Country Music Hall of Fame. We enjoyed a nice lived band and some good food.
After lunch, we drove around town for a little while looking at the Parthenon and Vanderbilt University. We later went back to Broadway while waiting for the Gabriel Iglesias show to begin. The show took place in the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The center is walking distance from Broadway and Church Street. The show was good, but I'll also talk more about that later.
The show finished around 10:30 PM, and we decided to go back to the hotel. We slept in on Sunday, and got our stuff together before checking out. We decided to go eat out one last time in Nashville. So, for lunch we enjoyed eating with the"fishes." We ate lunch at the Aquarium located in the Opry Mills hotel. This was a very fun and delicious lunch. We would definitely visit this restaurant again.
All in all, we really enjoyed our trip. If you are a first timer to the Nashville area, I would highly recommend taking this similar route. This would you give you the "Nashville experience" without feeling overwhelmed or lost.
I hope you enjoyed this little summary of our trip. I will give you more details about the hotels, restaurants and events that we attended. Hopefully this will help you with planning your future trip.

Happy Travelling!
Hunter and I waiting for the Studio B tour to begin.
